About

I’m an Emmy-nominated kids’ media executive who’s spent nearly 15 years creating hit YouTube content, innovating digital strategies, and crafting platform-first series that keep kids engaged and entertained. As VP of Preschool Digital Content at Nickelodeon, I’ve played a key role in revamping the network’s preschool development pipeline, leading the charge in launching new IP first on YouTube. We’ve worked hard to streamline this process by identifying creative and production efficiencies that enable us to produce high-quality original animation at scale, within budget, and at speed—all while never straying from Nickelodeon’s signature silliness, humor, and heart.

Over the past six years, I’ve helped grow Nickelodeon’s preschool YouTube audience from 5 million to nearly 50 million subscribers with billions of minutes watched a month, making it one of the biggest legacy media brands on the platform. At the heart of this success is our powerhouse 20+ person team of uniquely talented multi-hyphenate producers who do it all and do it fast. We’ve also cultivated key partnerships with domestic and international animation studios and audio vendors who understand the intricacies and quirks of producing for YouTube.

In an era where kids almost exclusively watch all their media on YouTube, cutting through the clutter is tricky business. It’s not just about creating great characters and stories (though that’s essential)! It’s also about knowing how to do it in a way that gives your content its best chance of being discovered. And having lots of fun while doing it! Because if we’re not having fun making it, kids aren’t gonna have fun watching it.

Before Nickelodeon, I led short-form creative at Sprout/Universal Kids, developing innovative YouTube formats and writing some of the network’s most popular original songs. I also created and wrote podcasts for Pinna and Tinkercast, using my love of songwriting and sound to take kids on audio adventures. Along the way, my work has earned recognition from Promax, Kidscreen, the Webby Awards, Shorty Awards, Parents Choice, and more.

Beyond kids' media, I’ve directed a documentary about blind people who bowl, shot the pilot for Impractical Jokers, and (somehow) helped reunite the New Kids on the Block. Passionate about mentorship and the arts, I’m a proud mentor for the Children’s Media Association and Future Now, and serve as co-chair of the Advisory Board for the North Fork Arts Center in Greenport, NY.

Oh, I almost forgot! I’m also currently, co-directing (and trying to finish!) a documentary called Kid Quixote about an after school program in Brooklyn that was featured in the NY Times, as well as making a short documentary about a man with autism pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a celebrity interviewer, featuring interviews with Amy Schumer, Howie Mandel, Jay Leno, Lewis Black, Regis Philbin and Frankie Valli.

And I used to lead the indie pop band, The City and Horses. We released four albums, were featured on NPR's All Songs Considered, on TV shows like on FXX's "You're the Worst," and in films like "Paper Heart," and lots of now-defunct indie music blogs.
